Yuliya Neogi Psychotherapy

Registered Psychotherapist

Are you struggling to find joy in the present because you're overwhelmed by life? It can be tough to open up to those closest to us about these feelings, but you don’t have to go through it alone. My office or online space is a safe, supportive environment where you can discover your strengths, learn to cope, navigate life's obstacles, and embrace self-love and acceptance.

About Me.

My background in medicine, combined with my specialization in psychotherapy, provides me with a unique perspective on the intricate relationship between the body and mind. This integrated approach enables me to see the full scope of my clients' experiences, addressing emotional and psychological issues while also acknowledging how physical health can influence mental wellbeing. At the core of my practice is an authentic and empathetic approach. I meet clients where they are, without judgment, and support them in discovering their own strengths and capacity for change. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” people but about empowering them to recognize their inner resources and foster meaningful changes in their lives. Humour also plays an important role in my approach. A genuine laugh can create space for honesty, connection, and relief even in the most challenging conversations. It helps build trust, keeps the process human, and reminds us that growth is not only about working through pain but also about reconnecting with vitality, resilience, and hope.

My Approach

I work with adults (18 and older), and my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood without judgment. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, so I do my best to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and encouragement. My approach is eclectic, meaning I draw from various methods depending on what works best for you. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I weave these together with the Adlerian perspective, which looks at the whole person and emphasizes overcoming self-doubt, building resilience, and finding a genuine sense of belonging in life. I believe therapy works best when it's tailored to your unique story. Together, we'll explore what's been getting in the way, discover your strengths, and build tools that help you move toward the changes you want to see.

If you're new to therapy or simply curious about the process, I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation to help you get a sense of how I work and determine if it's a good fit for you.
